Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program; earn prizes for reading May 12th to July 22nd.

All books must be library books checked out on or after May 12th.  Books must be checked out for 24 hours.

All lists must be returned by July 22nd for a prize.

Children read on their own reading level. We can create a special reading contract to accommodate needs.

Read 10 chapter books or 20 storybooks to earn a prize.  Newborn to 7th grade; reading to pre-readers is encouraged prereaders are eligible for prizes.

Programs are at 2 on Thursday unless otherwise noted.  Please check Facebook for changes to the schedule!!

May 18th  Zoo on the Move from the OKC Zoo!

May 25th  Twist day at the library.  Come and twist your body with  Lindsey from the OSU Extension Office & the Crazy Pastor’s wife will twist you a balloon animal.

June 1st A Game Warden will bring animal pelts & discuss wildlife in  Oklahoma.  We will finish with a   critter craft.

June 6thFab Lab from Tulsa.  (This is a Tuesday program. )

9:30-12:30 Sign-ups required.  There is a limit of twelve 4th-9th graders; only sign up if you can definitely attend.   We will take back-up reservations by phone, but we cannot take primary reservations by phone.   To register visit: http://fablabtulsa.org/library-workshop-sign-up/  

1:30-4:30 Come and go session.  This session is for ALL ages & registration is not required.

This program is a favorite.  FabLab comes to us free of charge, & we don’t have to fill out grant paperwork.  They bring expensive equipment & staff. They have requested online sign-ups & we are happy to oblige. 

June 8th Taylor from the OSU  Extension Office will share learning adventures with agriculture.

June 15th Meet at the library & walk to Dr. Cowell’s office & look at dinosaur artifacts.

June 22nd  We can’t give away the title, but we can mention a Polynesian princess.  Bring a drink with a screw on lid.   We supply popcorn.

June 29th The National Guard will be bringing a Humvee & other impressive military style goodies.

July 6th  Meet at the library & we will have a tour of the Noble Count Courthouse & Jim Franklin’s sculpting studio.

July 13th   Come get your craft on!

July 20th Steve Crawford, our favorite magician, will dazzle you with his optical illusions.   This program is at 10:30 instead of 2pm.
